The CAHPS® Clinician & Group Survey: Update on Instrument Design, Implementation, and Comparative Data

This Webcast provided an update on ongoing enhancements to the design of the Clinician & Group Survey, explored a major health system’s experience with the visit-specific version of the survey, and introduced the new Clinician & Group component of the CAHPS Database.

  • Julie Brown of the RAND Corporation reviewed the core items in the Clinician & Group Survey, the various survey instruments that can be used to collect the core data, and new supplemental item sets in the final stages of development.
  • Heather Britt of Allina discussed the provider group’s experience testing a visit-specific version of the Clinician & Group Survey and its plans to use the survey and the data going forward.
  • Michael Hornbostel of Westat explained the features of the new Clinician & Group Survey Component of the CAHPS Database and reviewed its benefits for users.
